Cloud Sync is not for sale yet. Joining the waitlist is an expression of interest, not a purchase. Once at least ten people sign up, the team will build sync.

## Summary

Optional paid cloud backup and multi-device sync for personal practice metadata in the Judo Kata practice tool. The free local-first app stays unchanged: no account required for training, judging, notes, anchors, or manual JSON export/import.

## What syncs (planned)

- Per-kata personal references, technique notes, and favourites
- Global app preferences (reserved sync key `_preferences`)
- Personal metadata only — not video files or YouTube hosting

## What does not sync / what you are not buying

- YouTube videos or kata media (user-supplied references remain free)
- Coach / team sharing, device caps, or server-side backup history in v1
- Official competition results or federation services

## Free remains

- Full kata practice and IJF-style practice judging without an account
- Local IndexedDB storage on the device
- Manual JSON export / import / reset on /data
- Offline-capable app shell after first visit (YouTube streams are not cached)

## How it will work (planned)

1. Magic-link sign-in (email, no password)
2. Subscribe, then background sync after local saves
3. Local data remains the source of truth; last cloud write wins per kata with a short conflict notice

## Plans

Same Cloud Sync feature on every paid plan; only the billing period changes.

- monthly: USD 2 / month
- half_year: USD 11 / 6 months (training-season commitment)
- yearly: USD 20 / year (best value)

Floor: nothing below USD 1 equivalent. Prices aim to cover hosting and login email so the free local app stays sustainable. Payment is for sync of the user's data, not for YouTube or kata content.
